Front Seat Replacement - Bucket
Removal Procedure
Important: With the leather seat option, the left, front seat is equipped with a side impact air bag. This must be disabled before any work is done on the seat.
1. If the seat is equipped with and air bag, refer to SIR Service Precautions for SIR service precautions.
Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraints.
2. Position the front bucket seat in the full forward to the mid-position and the full up position.
3. Remove the front bucket seat adjuster track covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement).
4. Remove the seat belt from the front seat track.
* For the right front, refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Front in Seat Belts.
* For the left front, refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Left Front in Seat Belts.
5. Remove the front bucket seat adjuster to the floor pan bolts.
6. Disconnect the front seat electrical connectors.
7. Disengage the front bucket seat hook attachments from the floor pan.
8. Remove the front bucket seat from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the front bucket seat into the vehicle.
2. Engage the front bucket seat front hook attachments to the floor pan.
3. Connect the front bucket seat electrical connectors.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
4. Install the front bucket seat adjuster-to-floor pan bolts.
Tighten the front bucket seat adjuster-to-floor pan bolts to 42 Nm (31 lb ft).
5. Install the adjuster track covers. Refer to Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement (Front Seat Adjuster Track Finish Cover Replacement).
6. Install the seat belt from the front seat track.
* For the right front, refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Right Front in Seat Belts.
* For the left front, refer to Seat Belt Retractor Replacement - Left Front in Seat Belts.
7. Enable the SIR system if seat is equipped with air bag. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraints.
8. Inspect the front bucket seat for proper operation and adjustment.
