Turn Signal & Multifunction Switch - Assemble

Assembly Procedure





1. Install the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly (2) onto the steering column tilt head assembly.
2. The electrical contact of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly (2) must rest on the turn signal cancel cam assembly.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Screw the 2 pan head tapping screws (1) into the turn signal and multifunction assembly (2).
- Tighten the 2 pan head tapping screws to 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.).





4. Slide the 2 connectors (2) of the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly into the bulkhead connector (1).
5. Reconnect the turn signal and multifunction switch assembly connector to the SIR coil assembly connector.





6. Attach wire harness straps to the wire harness assembly (1).
Attach the wire harness assembly (1) to the steering column with the wire harness strap (2).
7. Install the upper and lower shrouds. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Column Shift) or Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle (Floor Shift).
