Control Module HVAC: Service and Repair

BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL PROCESSOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the right sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
3. Disconnect the duct temperature sensor.
4. Remove the IP storage compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
5. Remove the IP fuse/relay center. Refer to Instrument Panel Electrical Center Replacement in Diagrams.
6. Remove the blower control module retaining screws.
7. Remove the blower control module (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the blower control module (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (23 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Install the IP fuse/relay center. Refer to Instrument Panel Electrical Center Replacement in Diagrams.
5. Install the IP storage compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - IP in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
6. Connect the duct temperature sensor to the sound insulator.
7. Connect the electrical connector to the sound insulator.
8. Install the right sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
