Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair

Yaw Rate Sensor Replacement (w/JL4)
Removal Procedure





1. Turn OFF the ignition.
2. Remove the rear compartment trim.
3. Remove the rear shelf trim panel.
4. Remove the 2 yaw rate sensor mounting nuts (1).
5. Remove the yaw rate sensor (2).
6. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector (3).

Installation Procedure





1. Connect the yaw rate sensor electrical connector (3).
2. Install the yaw rate sensor

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the yaw rate sensor nuts (1).
^ Tighten the yaw rate sensor mounting nuts (1) to 6 Nm (53 inch lbs.).
4. Install the rear shelf trim panel.
5. Install the rear compartment trim.
6. Perform the ABS Diagnostic System Check. Refer to A Diagnostic System Check - ABS. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
