HVAC System - Automatic

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the right side instrument panel insulator.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor control processor.




3. Disconnect the blower motor control processor electrical connector from the blower motor.

IMPORTANT: The opening to the blower motor control processor is slotted. Access to the blower motor control processor opening is limited.




4. Loosen both of the forward screws.
5. Remove the rearward screws.

IMPORTANT: Tilt down the rear of the blower motor control processor.

6. Remove the blower control processor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

IMPORTANT: Align the blower motor control processor forward retaining slots onto screws and seat the blower motor control processor against the HVAC module.




1. Install the blower motor control processor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the blower motor control processor rearward screws.

Tighten
Tighten the blower motor control processor rearward screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

3. Tighten both of the forward screws.

Tighten
Tighten the blower motor control processor forward screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).




4. Connect the blower motor control processor electrical connector to the blower motor.




5. Connect the electrical connector from the blower motor control processor.
6. Install the right side instrument panel insulator.
