Door/Trunk Ajar

The IPC illuminates the DOOR/TRUNK indicator in the message center when the Body Control Module (BCM) detects that any of the four doors or the trunk is open. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the BCM requesting illumination. If the vehicle is shifted out of park with a door or the trunk open, the BCM sends a class 2 message to the radio in order to activate an audible warning.
