Shift Lever

Removal Procedure





1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to Disabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
2. Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
3. Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement On Vehicle.
4. Remove the TORX(R) head fastener from the shift lever to shift control.
5. Pull the shift lever upward to remove it from the shift control.

Installation Procedure





1. Push the shift lever downward to engage it into the shift control.
2. Install the TORX(R) head fastener.
3. Install the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement On Vehicle.
4. Install the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement.
5. Enable the SIR system. Refer to Enabling the SIR System in Restraint Systems.
