Instrument Panel (IP) - Accessory Trim Plate Replacement



Trim Plate Replacement - IP Accessory

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the left instrument panel (I/P) insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement (Steering Column Filler Replacement) .




3. Remove the screws from the bottom of the I/P accessory trim plate.
4. Pull the I/P accessory trim plate rearward in order to release the retaining clips.
5. Rotate the I/P accessory trim plate rearward and up in order to release the 2 tabs at the top edge.
6. Disconnect the ash tray harness electrical connector from the I/P harness.
7. Remove the I/P accessory trim plate.



Installation Procedure

1. Connect the ash tray harness electrical connector to the I/P harness.




2. Align the accessory trim plate to the I/P.
3. Install the tabs into the I/P openings.
4. Rotate the I/P accessory trim plate forward and press the clips into the retainers until fully seated.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

5. Install the screws to the I/P accessory trim plate.

Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the steering column filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement (Steering Column Filler Replacement) .
7. Install the left I/P insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Service and Repair) .
