Scan Tool Data Definitions
Scan Tool Data DefinitionsABS Reference Speed: The scan tool displays 0 - 255 km/h (0 - 159 mph). The vehicle speed from the average of all four wheel speed sensors.
Check Tires: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes indicates the Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM) system has detected a tire pressure condition and tire pressures should be inspected. No indicates the Tire pressures are with in specifications.
Ignition Voltage: The scan tool displays 0-17 volts. The amount of ignition voltage available at the EBCM.
LF Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 - 255 km/h (0 - 159 mph). The actual speed of the left front wheel.
LR Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 - 255 km/h (0 - 159 mph). The actual speed of the left rear wheel.
RF Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 - 255 km/h (0 - 159 mph). The actual speed of the right front wheel.
RR Wheel Speed: The scan tool displays 0 - 255 km/h (0 - 159 mph). The actual speed of the right rear wheel.
TIM Auto Learn Mode Active: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes indicates the TPM system is calibrating the tire pressures for the speed range that the vehicle is in. No indicates the TPM system has completed the tire pressure calibration process for the speed range that the vehicle is in.
TIM Failed: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes indicates a malfunction has been detected in the TPM system. No indicates the TPM system is operating to specifications.
TIM Monitor Mode 1: The scan tool displays Yes or No. Yes indicates the TPM system is currently learning the partial tire pressure calibration for the speed range that the vehicle is in. No indicates the TPM system has completed the partial tire pressure calibration and has limited detection capability for a low tire condition in the speed range that the vehicle is in.
TIM Monitor Mode 2: Displays Yes or No. No indicates the TPM system has not completed the final mode of tire pressure calibration for the speed range that the vehicle is in. Yes indicates the TPM system has completed the calibration process and has full detection capability for a tire pressure condition and has fully learned the tire pressure calibration for the speed range that the vehicle is in.
TIM Reset Switch: The scan tool displays Pressed or Released. The status of the TPM RESET switch.
