Instrument Panel Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement
TOOLS REQUIREDJ 38125-B Terminal Repair Kit
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the access hole cover from the instrument panel (I/P) fuse block.
3. Remove the right I/P insulator.
4. Remove the I/P compartment.
5. Remove the lamp harness retainer (1) from the passenger knee bolster bracket (2).
6. Remove the wiring harness retainer (1) from the passenger knee bolster bracket (2).
7. Disengage the fuse block from the fuse block bracket on the body wiring harness. Lower the fuse block from the I/P.
8. Remove the fuses and the relays from the fuse block.
9. Use the correct terminal removal tool from J 38125-B to remove the wires from the fuse block. Refer to Electrical Center Identification Views.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the wires to the fuse block.
2. Install the fuses and the relays to the fuse block.
3. Position the fuse block to the I/P. Install the fuse block to the fuse block bracket on the body wiring harness.
4. Install the wiring harness retainer (1) to the passenger knee bolster bracket (2).
5. Install the lamp harness retainer (1) to the passenger knee bolster bracket (2).
6. Install the I/P compartment.
7. Install the right I/P insulator.
8. Install the access hole cover to the I/P fuse block.
9. Connect the negative battery cable.
