CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION
The IPC monitors the driver information center (DIC) switch signal circuits in order to perform various functions. The DIC switch contains 2-5 active low momentary switches, depending on option content. The IPC detects a switch activation when the signal circuit is low.

CONDITIONS FOR RUNNING THE DTC
The ignition is ON.

CONDITIONS FOR SETTING THE DTC

B2823-Base IPC Only
The IPC detects that the trip odometer reset switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

B2823-Uplevel IPC Only
The IPC detects that the DIC fuel info switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

B2833-Uplevel IPC Only
The IPC detects that the DIC gage info switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

B2838-Uplevel IPC Only
The IPC detects that the DIC reset switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

B2843
The IPC detects that the metric conversion switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

B2848-Uplevel IPC Only
The IPC detects that the trip odometer reset switch signal circuit is low for greater than 15 seconds.

ACTION TAKEN WHEN THE DTC SETS
The IPC ignores the malfunctioning switch circuit.

CONDITIONS FOR CLEARING THE DTC
^ The current DTC becomes history when the fault is no longer present.
^ The history DTC clears after 50 malfunction free ignition cycles.
^ The IPC receives a clear code command from the scan tool.
