Lock Cylinder Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the tail lamp assembly.
2. Remove the latch cable from the lock cylinder.
3. Remove the fasteners (3) securing the lock cylinder (2) to the lid (1).
4. Remove the lock cylinder (2) from the rear compartment lid (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Install the lock cylinder (2) to the lid (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the fasteners (3) in order to secure the lock cylinder (2) to the lid (1).

Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the latch cable to the lock cylinder.
4. Install the back up lamp assembly.
