Underhood Electrical Center or Junction Block Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the cover from the underhood fuse block.
3. Disconnect the positive battery cables fastener (1) from the underhood fuse block.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness clip from the accumulator cover and position the cables out of the way.
5. Disconnect the retaining clip securing the evaporator hose to the accumulator cover.
6. Carefully position the evaporator hose out of the way.
7. Remove the accumulator cover.
8. Loosen the fasteners retaining the underhood; fuse block connectors.
9. Disconnect the 4 cam lock connectors from the underhood fuse block and lift the assembly up from the base.
10. Disconnect the engine harness connector and remove the underhood fuse block from the vehicle.
11. Remove the underhood fuse block base fasteners.
12. Remove the underhood fuse block base assembly.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the underhood fuse block base into the vehicle.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the underhood fuse block fasteners.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
3. Connect the engine harness connector to the underhood fuse block.
4. Connect the underhood fuse block connectors and tighten the 3 retaining bolts.
Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 6.6 N.m (58 lb in).
5. Install the underhood fuse block by pressing it into the 4 retaining locks until an audible click is heard.
6. Install the accumulator cover.
7. Install the wiring harness into the clip in the accumulator cover.
8. Position the positive cables onto the stud.
9. Install the positive battery cable fastener (1) to the underhood fuse block.
Tighten
Tighten the fastener to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
10. Install the cover onto the underhood fuse block.
11. Reposition the evaporator hose to the accumulator cover.
12. Close the retaining clip in order to secure the evaporator hose to the accumulator cover.
13. Connect the negative battery cable.
