Steering Column Trim Covers - Assemble - Off Vehicle





1. Install the trim cover protector (1) to the lower trim cover (2).





2. Install the closeout trim cover (2) onto the upper trim cover (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.





3. Install the upper trim cover (1) with-the closeout trim cover (2) and secure by using 1 TORX head screw (3).
Tighten the screw to 1.5 Nm (13 inch lbs.).
4. Slide the shift lever seal down the shift lever and secure into the upper trim cover.





5. Install the lower trim cover (1).
6. Make sure the shift lever seal is properly aligned in the upper and lower trim covers.
7. Install 2 pan head tapping screws (2).
Tighten the screws to 3.5 Nm (31 inch lbs.).





8. Install the tilt lever (2) into the trim covers (1).
