This bulletin is being issued in order to advise dealers that if a front seat cupholder becomes disengaged from the armrest or has been damaged, replacement of the entire storage armrest assembly is NOT required. Service parts for the cupholder assembly are now available from GMSPO.

Each front seat service cupholder assembly consists of the following components:

Front Seat Armrest Cupholder Removal

1. Partially open the cupholder assembly to obtain access to the two locking tabs (1) at the base of the cupholder assembly.

2. Insert a flat bladed screw driver and twist slightly in order to release the lock tab. Release both tabs.

3. Remove cupholder assembly from storage armrest assembly.

Front Seat Armrest Cupholder Installation

1. Align the cupholder assembly tabs with the armrest assembly slots. Insert tabs into slots.

2. Apply thumb pressure to the base of the cupholder assembly until cupholder assembly locking tabs engage.
