Door Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the door control module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement - Front.
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door. Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door
4. Remove the garnish molding. Refer to Garnish Molding Replacement - Front Door Frame (Garnish Molding Replacement - Front Door Frame) .
5. Remove the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
6. Remove the outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Outer (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
7. Remove the outside rear view mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement - Power (Mirror Replacement - Power Mirror) .
8. Remove the window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
9. Remove the window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Window (Door Window Weatherstrip) .
10. Remove the door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique Replacement - Front () .
11. Remove the door latch. Refer to Latch Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
12. Remove the front power window module. Refer to Module Replacement - Front Power Window (Front Side Door Window Module Replacement) .
13. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Outside (Service and Repair) .
14. Remove the door bottom auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Bottom Auxiliary (Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Bottom Auxiliary) .
15. Remove the door weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door (Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door) .
16. Remove the upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Upper Auxiliary (Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Upper Auxiliary) .




17. Disconnect the wiring harness clips from the inner door panel.
18. Pull the rubber conduit and the wiring harness out through the opening at the front of the door.
19. Remove all the plastic nuts and retainers from the door shell.
20. Remove the door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair) .
21. Support the door.
22. Remove the hinge to door nuts.
23. Remove the door, with the aid of an assistant.



Installation Procedure

1. Install the hinge studplates into the door.
2. Align the door to the hinges, with the aid of an assistant.
3. Support the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the door to hinge nuts.

Tighten the door to hinge nuts to 34 N.m (24 lb ft).

5. Install the door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair) .




6. Route the door wiring harness into the opening at the front of the door.
7. Install the door wiring harness clips to the inner door panel.
8. Install all the plastic nuts and retainers into the door shell that were removed during disassembly.
9. Install the upper auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Upper Auxiliary (Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Upper Auxiliary) .
10. Install the door weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door (Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door) .
11. Install the door bottom auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Bottom Auxiliary (Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Bottom Auxiliary) .
12. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Outside (Service and Repair) .
13. Install the power window module. Refer to Module Replacement - Front Power Window (Front Side Door Window Module Replacement) .
14. Install the door latch. Refer to Latch Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
15. Install the door frame applique. Refer to Door Frame Applique Replacement - Front () .
16. Install the window weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement - Front Door Window (Door Window Weatherstrip) .
17. Install the window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door (Service and Repair) .
18. Install the outside rearview mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement - Power (Mirror Replacement - Power Mirror) .
19. Install the outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Outer (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
20. Install the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Sealing Strip Replacement - Front Door Window Belt Inner (Front Side Door Window Belt Inner Sealing Strip Replacement) .
21. Adjust the door. Refer to Door Adjustment (Adjustments) .
22. Touch up any paint damage to the hinge and hinge nuts with body color paint.
23. Adjust the window. Refer to Window Adjustment - Front Door (Adjustments) .
24. Install the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door. Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door
25. Install the door control module. Refer to Door Control Module Replacement - Front.
26. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
