Compartment Lid Replacement - Rear

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear (Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear) .
2. Remove the rear compartment lid latch assembly. Refer to Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (Service and Repair) .
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the rear compartment lid latch assembly.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness from the rear compartment lid (1).
5. Remove the bolts (3) retaining the lid (1) to the hinges (2).
6. Remove the rear compartment lid (1) from the vehicle, using the aid of an assistant.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear compartment lid (1) to the vehicle, using the aid of an assistant.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts (3) in order to retain the lid (1) to the hinges (2).

Tighten the bolts to 24 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Connect the wiring harness to the rear compartment lid (1).
4. Connect the electrical connectors to the rear compartment lid latch assembly.
5. Install the rear compartment lid latch assembly. Refer to Latch Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear (Compartment Lid Trim Replacement - Rear) .
