Fender Replacement - Front

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
2. Remove the front fascia extension. Refer to Fascia Extension Replacement - Front (Fascia Extension Replacement - Front) in Bumpers.
3. Remove the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front (Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front) .
4. Remove the fender sound insulator. Refer to Fender Sound Insulator Replacement - Front (Fender Sound Insulator Replacement - Front) .
5. Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) in Bumpers.
6. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Remove the hood hinge bolts.




8. Remove the bolt retaining the fender (1) at the headlamp opening.




9. Remove the bolts (2) retaining the bottom of the fender (1) at the door hinge pillar.




10. Remove the bolt (2) retaining the top of the fender (1) at the door hinge pillar.




11. Remove the bolts (2) retaining the fender (1) to the upper rail.
12. Remove the fender (1) from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure





1. Position the fender (1) to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts (2) in order to retain the fender to the upper rail.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





3. Install the bolt (2) in order to retain the top of the fender (1) at the door hinge pillar.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





4. Install the bolts (2) in order to retain the bottom of the fender (1) at the door hinge pillar.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).





5. Install the bolt in order to retain the fender (1) at the headlamp opening.

Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

6. Install the hood hinge bolts.
7. Install the front bumper fascia. Refer to Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper (Fascia Replacement - Front Bumper) in Bumpers.
8. Install the fender sound insulator. Refer to Fender Sound Insulator Replacement - Front (Fender Sound Insulator Replacement - Front) .
9. Install the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front (Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front) .
10. Install the front fascia extension. Refer to Fascia Extension Replacement - Front (Fascia Extension Replacement - Front) in Bumpers.
11. Install the headlamp assembly. Refer to Headlamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
12. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement (Service and Repair) .
