Driver Door Module (DDM)
The Driver's Door Module (DDM) Directly Controls The Driver's Door Lock Actuator Motor. The DDM receives the passenger door lock switch and the driver door lock switch messages via the power door serial data circuit and forwards the request messages to the Remote Control Door Lock Receiver (RCDLR) via the Class 2 serial data link. The RCDLR receives the request message and checks for lockout prevention criteria. If the conditions are proper, the RCDLR sends a lock or unlock command message back to the DDM via the Class 2 serial data circuits. The DDM forwards the Lock or Unlock command received from the RCDLR to the Passenger Door Module (PDM) and the Rear Door Module (RDM) over the power door serial data link. Battery voltage is always applied to the DDM through a dedicated DDM fuse in the rear fuse block.
