Door Lock Switch Falls Between Door Trim And Door (Replace Bezel)
Models:
2002-2003 Buick Park Avenue and Park Avenue Ultra
Condition
Some customers may comment that the power door lock switch falls between the door trim panel and the door.
Cause
The cause may be that the plastic door lock retainer tabs are not retaining the switch in place, allowing the switch to fall between the door and door trim.
Correction
Replace the door lock bezel.
1. Remove the door trim.
2. Remove the electrical connector from the window switch.
3. Remove the power window switch plate assembly from the door trim.
4. Remove the electrical connector from the speaker, door lock switch and memory seat switch, if equipped.
5. Remove the switches and speaker from the bezel.
6. Remove the bezel from the door trim.
7. Install the door lock bezel to the door trim.
8. Install the speaker and the switch to the bezel.
9. Install the electrical connector to the speaker, door lock switch and memory seat switch, if equipped.
10. Install the power window switch plate assembly.
11. Install the electrical connector to the window switch.
12. Install the door trim.
