- Symptoms - Sunroof/Moonroof

IMPORTANT: Complete the following steps before using the symptom tables.

1. Perform Diagnostic System Check - Power Sunroof before using the Symptom Tables in order to verify that all of the following conditions are true: Diagnostic System Check
^ There are no DTCs set.
^ The control modules can communicate via the serial data link.
2. Review the system operation in order to learn the system functions. Refer to Power Sunroof Description and Operation.

Visual/physical inspection
^ Inspect for aftermarket devices which can affect the operation of the Power Sunroof system. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories in Diagnostic Aids.
^ Inspect the accessible system components for obvious damage or for conditions which can cause the symptom.

Intermittent
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent and Poor Connections in Diagnostic Aids.

Symptom list
Refer to a symptom diagnostic test procedure from the following list in order to diagnose the symptom:
^ Power Sunroof Inoperative
^ Power Sunroof Does Not Open
^ Power Sunroof Express Open Feature Inoperative
^ Power Sunroof Does Not Open to Vent Position
^ Power Sunroof Does Not Close from Vent Position
^ Retained Accessory Power (RAP) On After Timeout, if the sunroof should continue to operate for more than 10 minutes after the ignition has been turned OFF.
