Rear Door: Adjustments



Door Adjustment - Rear

Up/Down or In/Out Adjustment


Important: The door side upper and lower hinge bolts must remain tight enough to retain door adjusted position






1. Loosen the 13 mm door side upper and lower hinge bolts. Do not remove the bolts.
2. Adjust the door up or down by repositioning the door as needed.
3. Adjust the door in or out by repositioning the door as needed.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Tighten the 13 mm door side upper and lower hinge bolts.

Tighten the door side hinge bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).




Fore/Aft Adjustment





1. Loosen the two 13 mm body side upper and lower hinge bolts (1). Do not remove them.




2. Loosen the 10 mm cone adjuster body side hinge bolt (1).
3. Adjust the door fore and aft by repositioning the door as needed.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

4. Install the one 10 mm cone adjuster (1) body side hinge bolt.

Tighten the cone adjuster body side hinge bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





5. Apply Locktite(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382, or Canadian P/N 10953489, or equivalent prior to installing the body side hinge bolts.
6. Install two 13 mm body side hinge bolts (1).

Tighten the body side hinge bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
