Mirror Replacement - Remote

Removal Procedure

The outside mirrors are stud mounted to the door metal. The mirror face can be replaced without removing the entire mirror. The left side flat and right side convex mirror faces must be replaced with the same type mirror face when serviced.

1. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the mirror reinforcement cover.
3. Remove the nuts from the mirror.
4. Remove the mirror cable from the trim panel.
5. Remove the mirror.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the remote mirror cable to the trim panel.
2. Position the mirror to the door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Start at the lower left nut and install the nuts.
Tighten in a clockwise direction.

Tighten the outside mirror nuts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Install the mirror reinforcement cover.
5. Install the trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Service and Repair) .
