Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - Trim Plate Bezel Replacement

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Apply the park brake.
2. Remove the steering column filler panel.
3. Remove the accessory trim plate, if not equipped with a front floor console.
4. Adjust the front floor console for access, if equipped.
5. If equipped with column shift, adjust the shift lever to LOW.
6. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) outer trim covers.
7. Open the I/P compartment.
8. Remove the filler panel from the lower section of the I/P.




9. Remove the screw from the right end of the I/P cluster trim plate.




10. Release the retaining tab on the right end of the trim plate.
11. Tilt the steering column to the lowest position.
12. Pull the trim plate at the right edge, working towards the left slowly, in order to release the retaining clips.
13. Remove the I/P trim plate.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the trim plate to the I/P.
2. Install the trim plate by pressing in at each retainer location until seated correctly.
3. Return the steering column to the original position.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Install the screw to right end of the trim plate.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the filler panel to the lower section of the I/P.
6. Close the I/P compartment.




7. Install the outer trim covers by pressing each cover into place until seated correctly.
8. If equipped with column shift, adjust the shift lever to PARK.
9. Install the front floor console, if equipped.
10. Install the accessory trim plate, if not equipped with a front floor console.
11. Install the steering column filler panel.
12. Release the park brake.
