Axle Shaft Assembly: Testing and Inspection

Click Noise In Turns
A worn or damaged front wheel drive shaft constant velocity joint may cause a clicking noise during turns.
If a clicking noise occurs, inspect for a cut or damaged front wheel drive shaft constant velocity joint boot.

Clunk Noise When Accelerating During Turns
If a clicking noise exists when turning, check for the following conditions:
^ A worn or damaged outboard joint
^ Cut or damaged seals
