Lock Cylinder Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the back-up lamp assembly. Refer to Backup Lamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
2. Remove the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the nuts (3) retaining the lock cylinder (2) to the lid (1).
4. Remove the lock cylinder (2) from the lid (1).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the lock cylinder (2) to the lid (1).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the nuts (3) in order to retain the lock cylinder (2) to the lid (1).

Tighten the nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

3. Install the rear compartment lid trim. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the back up lamp assembly. Backup Lamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
