Air Temperature Sensor Replacement - Upper Right

AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR REPLACEMENT - UPPER RIGHT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Pull outward to disengage the retainers of the IP outer trim covers.
2. Remove the left IP accessory trim plate.
3. Remove the right IP accessory trim plate.
4. Remove the left IP trim panel.
5. In order to access the duct screws, remove the upper fasteners retaining the lower IP trim.

IMPORTANT: It is not necessary to completely remove the lower IP trim.




6. Pull the IP trim off the studs and lower the trim out of the way.




7. Remove the two screws (1) at the center of the air distributor duct.




8. Remove the screw at the outboard side of the air distributor duct and pull the duct off the stud.




9. Remove the right air temperature sensor from the air distributor duct by turning counter-clockwise 1/4 turn.
10. Disconnect the air temperature sensor electrical connector.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Connect the air temperature sensor electrical connector to the sensor.
2. Install the right air temperature sensor into the air distributor duct and turn the sensor clockwise 1/4 turn.




3. Install the air distributor duct to the stud and install the outboard screw.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten
Tighten the screw to 2 N.m (17 lb in).




4. Install the air distributor duct center screws (1).

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (17 lb in).




5. Align the lower IP trim to the studs and install the fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

6. Install the left IP trim panel.
7. Install the right IP accessory trim plate.
8. Install the left IP accessory trim plate.




9. Install the outer IP trim covers.
