Fuel Filler Door Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Open the fuel filler door.
2. Disengage the fuel cap tether strap from the fuel filler door hinge.
3. Remove the bolts securing the fuel filler door assembly to the vehicle.
4. Remove the fuel filler door.



Installation Procedure





1. Install the fuel filler door.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the bolts securing the fuel filler door to the vehicle.

Tighten the bolts to 7.5 N.m (66 lb in).

3. Secure the fuel cap tether strap to the fuel filler door hinge.
4. Close the fuel filler door.




5. Check the fuel filler door for acceptable gap (A). An equal 3 +/- 1 mm (0.12 +/- 0.04 in) around the entire perimeter.
6. Finesse to fit if required.
7. Verify the proper operation of the fuel filler door.
