SYMPTOMS - DOORS

IMPORTANT: For the Outside Automatic Day-Night Mirror system, review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions. Refer to Outside Mirror Description and Operation.
For the other Door systems, the following steps must be performed before using the symptom tables.

1. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Door Systems before using the symptom tables in order to verify that all of the following are true:
- There are no DTCs set.
- The control module can communicate via the serial data link. Diagnostic System Check - Door Systems

2. Review the system operation in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions:
- Refer to Power Windows Description and Operation.
- Refer to Power Door Locks Description and Operation
- Refer to Door Ajar Indicator Description and Operation.
- Refer to Outside Mirror Description and Operation.

Visual/Physical Inspection
- Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the door systems.
- Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.

Intermittent
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions.

- Power Windows Inoperative Express Down Function.
- Power Windows Inoperative - Lockout Function.
- Power Window Inoperative - Driver Door

- Door Ajar Indicator Malfunction
- Power Door Locks Inoperative
- Automatic Door Locks Inoperative
- Power Mirrors Inoperative
