Interior - Headliner Appears to Sag Behind Sunroof

Bulletin No.: 03-08-110-007

Date: October 08, 2003

INFORMATION

Subject:

Information on Headliner Sagging Behind Power Sliding Sunroof Near Rear Window (Normal Condition)

Models:
2003-2004 Buick Regal

Some customers may comment on a sagging, or drooping headliner in the area to the rear of the power sliding sunroof. This condition may be most noticeable to the customer when viewed through the rearview mirror.

What Action to Take

Take no corrective action. This is a normal and required appearance. The headliner is not sagging nor is there a failure of the retainers. The power sliding sunroof drive motor was relocated to the rear of the sunroof and the headliner is dropped in that area to provide clearance.

The graphic depicts the general area of customer concern. Do not replace the headliner, nor try to reduce the amount of clearance between the motor and the headliner. You may give a copy of this bulletin to your customer to further explain this condition.
