Lock Striker Replacement - Rear Compartment Lid

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .




2. Remove the nut (1) retaining latch striker (2) from inside the rear compartment.
3. Remove the right fascia.
4. Remove the nuts (3) retaining latch striker (2) from outside the rear compartment.
5. Remove the rear compartment latch striker (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Install the rear compartment latch striker (2).
2. Install the nuts (1, 3) in order to retain the latch striker (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

3. Adjust the rear compartment latch striker (2), as necessary.

Tighten the latch striker nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Install the fascia.
5. Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Compartment Sill Plate Replacement - Rear (Service and Repair) .
