Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Lower

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the right sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right) .
2. Remove the left sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Left (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Left) .
4. Remove the right IP vent trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Right (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Right) .




5. Remove the fastener (2) from the upper edge of the left lower IP assembly.




6. Remove the fastener (1) from the upper edge of the right lower IP assembly.
7. Remove the fasteners (2) from the lower edge of the right lower IP assembly.




8. Remove the fasteners (1) from the lower edge of the left side lower IP assembly.
9. Remove the fasteners (2) from the upper edge of the left lower IP assembly.




10. Remove the fasteners (1) from the upper edge of the right side lower IP assembly.
11. Disconnect the electrical connections on the right side of the vehicle.
12. Remove the lower IP from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Connect the electrical connections to the lower IP.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the fasteners (1) onto the upper edge of the right side lower IP assembly.

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





3. Install the fasteners (1) on to the lower edge of the left side lower IP assembly.

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Install the fasteners (2) on to the upper edge of the left lower IP assembly.

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





5. Install the fastener (1) on to the upper edge of the right lower IP assembly.

Tighten the fastener to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

6. Install the fasteners (2) on to the lower edge of the right lower IP assembly.

Tighten the fasteners to 10 N.m (89 lb in).





7. Install the fastener (2) on to the upper edge of the left lower IP assembly.

Tighten the fastener to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

8. Install the right IP vent trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Right (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Right) .
9. Install the IP cluster trim plate. Refer to Instrument Panel (I/P) Trim Panel Replacement - Left (Instrument Panel (IP) - Trim Panel Replacement - Left) .
10. Install the left sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Left (Service and Repair) .
11. Install the right sound insulator. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right (Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement - Right) .
