Actuator Replacement - Horizontal

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement (Seat Replacement) .
2. On a clean dry surface, lay the seat on its side.




3. Remove the bolts (6,7).
4. Slide the actuators (5) off of the adjuster assembly (2).
5. Remove the bolts (1,3).
6. Remove the actuator (4) from the adjuster assembly (2).



Installation Procedure





1. Position the actuator (4) to the adjuster assembly (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

2. Install the actuator bolts (1,3).

Tighten the actuator bolts (1,3) to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

3. Slide the actuators (5) on to the adjuster assembly (2).
4. Install the actuator bolts (6,7).

Tighten the actuator bolts (6,7) to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

5. Install the front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement (Seat Replacement) .
6. If the vehicle is equipped with memory seats, calibrate the seat. Refer to Memory Seat Calibration Procedure. Service and Repair
