Blower Motor: Service and Repair

BLOWER MOTOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the right side sound insulator.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the blower motor.
3. Remove the cooling hose from the blower motor.
4. Remove the screws that attach the blower motor.
5. Remove the blower motor from the HVAC module.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the blower motor to the HVAC module assembly.




2. Install the blower motor screws.

Tighten the screws to 1.4 N.m (12 lb in).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the cooling hose to the blower motor.
4. Connect the electrical connector to the blower motor.
5. Install the right side sound insulator.
