Latch Replacement - Instrument Panel (IP) Ash Tray

LATCH REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) ASH TRAY

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the metal tray (1) from the assembly by grabbing the corners and lifting.




2. With one hand slightly pulling on the latch (1), insert a flat-bladed tool on either side of the latch to release the tabs.
3. Remove the latch assembly.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the latch, as shown in graphic, so that the slanted part of the plunger is pointing towards the front of the vehicle.
2. Push on the latch assembly until it clicks in place.




3. Install the metal tray.
