Oil Pan: Service and Repair



Oil Pan Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the engine front cover.
2. Remove the power steering hose retainer from the A/C compressor bracket.





3. Disconnect the intermediate steering shaft.





4. Remove the engine mount lower nuts.

5. Important: Do NOT disconnect the A/C pipes and / or hoses.

Remove the A/C compressor bracket bolts and reposition aside.
6. Drain the engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement.
7. Remove the transmission oil cooler pipe retainer from the engine right side.
8. Install the engine support fixture.
9. Tighten the support fixture wing nuts in order to provide clearance for the oil pan.





10. Remove the oil pan.
11. Perform the following steps as necessary.
^ Disassemble the oil pan. Refer to CELL LINK
^ Clean and inspect the oil pan. Refer to CELL LINK.

Installation Procedure
1. Assemble the oil pan as necessary. Refer to CELL LINK.





2. Install the oil pan.
3. Loosen the engine support fixture wing nuts in order to lower the engine and engage the engine mounts to the frame.
4. Remove the engine support fixture.
5. Remove the transmission oil cooler pipe retainer from the engine right side.
6. Fill the engine with new engine oil. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement.
7. Install the A/C compressor bracket with the A/C compressor.





8. Install the engine mount lower nuts.





9. Connect the intermediate steering shaft.
10. Install the power steering hose retainer to the A/C compressor bracket.
11. Install the engine front cover.
