Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor Installation





1. Important: Follow the procedure sequence in order to prevent drive belt mis-alignment and/or possible damage/distortion to the components.

Place the A/C compressor in position to the cylinder block.
2. Loosely install the A/C compressor bolts (1, 3) and nut (2).

3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the A/C compressor front bolt (3).
^ Tighten the A/C compressor front bolt (3) to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
4. Tighten the A/C compressor front nut (2).
^ Tighten the A/C compressor front nut (2) to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
5. Tighten the A/C compressor rear bolt (1).
^ Tighten the A/C compressor rear bolt (1) to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
