Rear Side Door Window Channel Retainer Replacement

Removal Procedure





Notice: refer to Paint Damage Notice.

1. Remove the rear door frame applique. Refer to CELL LINK.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel.
3. Remove the rear door water deflector.
4. Position the window to the full down position.
5. Remove the rear door inner belt sealing strip.
6. Remove the rear door outer belt sealing strip.
7. Remove the rear door window weatherstrip.
8. Drill out the 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (1) along the inside edge of the window channel retainer (2).
9. Remove the bolt (3) from the corner of the window channel retainer (2).
10. Remove the window channel retainer from the door.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the window channel retainer to the door.
2. Install the new 4 mm (5/32 in) rivets (1) along the inside edge of the window channel retainer (2).
3. Install the bolt (3) to the lower corner of the window channel retainer (2).

Notice: refer to Fastener Notice.

4. Install the bolt (3) to the lower corner of the window channel retainer (2).

Tighten the screw to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

5. Install the rear door window weatherstrip.
Install the door window weatherstrip by working it around the door frame. Ensure that the weatherstrip is fully seated into the window channel retainer.
6. Install the rear door outer belt sealing strip.
7. Install the rear door inner belt sealing strip.
8. Install the front door frame applique. Refer to CELL LINK.
9. Inspect the window for proper operation.
10. Install the rear door water deflector.
11. Install the rear door trim panel.
