Windshield Washer Reservoir: Service and Repair



Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the hood.
2. Drain the washer solvent from the washer solvent container.




3. Remove the upper washer solvent container screw.
4. Remove the right front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement (Service and Repair).




5. Disconnect the washer pump hose.
6. Disconnect the washer pump electrical connector.
7. Disconnect the washer solvent level sensor electrical connector.
8. Remove the washer pump from the container.
9. Remove the level sensor from the container.




10. Remove the lower washer solvent container screws.
11. Remove the washer solvent container from the right frame rail.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the washer solvent container to the right frame rail.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice).

2. Install the lower washer solvent container screws.

Tighten the screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




3. Install the washer pump to the container.
4. Install the level sensor to the container.
5. Connect the washer solvent level sensor electrical connector.
6. Connect the washer pump electrical connector.
7. Connect the washer pump hose.
8. Install the right front fender liner. Refer to Front Fender Liner Replacement (Service and Repair).




9. Install the upper washer solvent container screw.

Tighten the screw to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

10. Fill the washer solvent container with washer solvent.
11. Close the hood.
