Circuit/System Testing
1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the radio harness connector X2 and VCIM harness connector X3.
2. Test for less than 1 volt on the mono out circuit radio harness connector terminal 7and ground.
• If greater than specified value, repair short to voltage.
3. Test for greater than 1 ohm between the mono out circuit radio harness connector terminal 7 and ground.
• If less than specified value, repair short to ground.
4. Test for less than 1 ohm between the mono out circuit radio harness connector terminal 7 and the microphone out signal circuit VCIM harness connector terminal 1.
5. If greater than specified value, repair open circuit.
6. Test for less than 1 volt on the low reference circuit radio harness connector terminal 15 and ground.
• If greater than specified value, repair short to voltage.
7. Test for greater than 1 ohm between the low reference circuit radio harness connector terminal 15 and ground.
• If less than specified value, repair short to ground.
8. Test for less than 1 ohm between the low reference circuit radio harness connector terminal 15 and the low reference signal circuit VCIM harness connector terminal 2.
• If greater than specified value, repair open circuit.
9. If all circuits test normal, replace the radio.
Repair Instructions
