Front Floor Panel Carpet Replacement
Removal Procedure
Caution: Refer to SIR Caution (SIR Caution) .
1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the front seats. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement) .
3. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Console Replacement (Service and Repair) .
4. Remove the carpet retainers. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the front carpet (1).
Installation Procedure
Caution: In order to avoid personal injury or vehicle damage when you repair or replace the carpet, use the same thickness and material size as the original installation. Always return the carpet to the original location.
1. Lay the front carpet (1) into the vehicle.
2. Work the front edges of the carpet into place under the instrument panel.
3. Install the floor vent into the floor ducts, if equipped.
4. Install the center console. Refer to Console Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the carpet retainer. Refer to Front Carpet Retainer Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the front seats. Refer to Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement (Driver or Passenger Seat Replacement) .
7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling (Service and Repair) .
