Radio Replacement
Removal Procedure
Note: Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) for programming and setup information.
1. Remove the HVAC control assembly. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the drivers information center switch bank. Refer to Driver Information Display Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the radio screws.
4. Pull the radio toward you.
5. Disconnect the instrument panel (I/P) wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector from the radio.
6. Remove the radio.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the radio to the I/P.
2. Connect the I/P wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector to the radio.
Note: If the radio locator is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.
3. Install the radio to the I/P.
Align the radio locator to the hole in the I/P while pressing the radio into position.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
4. Install the radio screws.
Tighten the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in).
5. Install the drivers information center switch bank. Refer to Driver Information Display Switch Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the HVAC control assembly. Refer to Heater and Air Conditioning Control Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Control Module References (Programming and Relearning) for programming and setup information.
