Cylinder Head M8 Bolts - in Sequence 30 Nm (22 lb ft)

Cylinder Head M11 Bolts
First Pass in Sequence 30 Nm (22 lb ft)
Second Pass in Sequence 90 degrees
Final Pass in Sequence 70 degrees

HEAD BOLT REUSE/REPLACE

Note: Do not use the cylinder head bolts again. Install NEW cylinder head bolts during assembly.

INTAKE MANIFOLD




Intake Manifold Bolts
First Pass in Sequence 5 Nm (44 lb in)
Final Pass in Sequence 10 Nm (89 lb in)

MAIN BEARING CAP




Crankshaft Bearing Cap M8 Bolts 25 Nm (18 lb ft)

Crankshaft Bearing Cap M10 Bolts
First Pass in Sequence 20 Nm (15 lb ft)
Final Pass in Sequence 80 degrees

Crankshaft Bearing Cap M10 Studs
First Pass in Sequence 20 Nm (15 lb ft)
Final Pass in Sequence 51 degrees

Bearing Cap M8 bolts 25 Nm (18 lb ft)
Tighten the bolt on one side of the bearing cap and then tighten the bolt on the opposite side of the same bearing cap.

ROD BEARING CAP

Connecting Rod Bolts
First Pass 20 Nm (15 lb ft)
Final Pass 85 degrees

CRANKSHAFT PULLEY

Crankshaft Balancer Bolt
First Pass 150 Nm (111 lb ft)
Second Pass Loosen 360 degrees
Third Pass 50 Nm (37 lb ft)
Final Pass 230 degrees

FLYWHEEL/FLEXPLATE




Flex Plate Bolts
First Pass 20 Nm (15 lb ft)
Second Pass 50 Nm (37 lb ft)
Final Pass 100 Nm (74 lb ft)

OIL PUMP

Oil Pump Cover Bolts 12 Nm (106 lb in)

EXHAUST MANIFOLD

Exhaust Manifold Bolts
First Pass 15 Nm (11 lb ft)
Final Pass 20 Nm (15 lb ft)
Tighten the exhaust manifold bolts beginning with the center 2 bolts. Alternate from side-to-side, and work toward the outside bolts.

WATER PUMP

Water Pump Bolts 15 Nm (11 lb ft)
