Circuit/System Description

With RPO ATG

With each press of a keyless entry transmitter button, a message containing the current battery state of the transmitter is sent to the remote function receiver module, along with the commanded keyless entry function. The remote function receiver module sends this to the body control module (BCM) to determine what action to perform.

With RPO ATS

When starting the vehicle, a message containing the current battery state of the transmitter is sent to the keyless entry control module, which then sends the message to the BCM.
