Front Camber Adjustment
1. Position the vehicle properly on an alignment rack.
2. Loosen both of the front suspension strut nuts (1) enough to allow for movement.
Note: The front suspension strut does not have to be removed from the vehicle to perform the following steps.
3. If the front suspension strut needs to be modified, perform the following steps:
1. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (Service and Repair).
2. Loosen, but do not remove the upper front suspension strut bolt from the knuckle.
3. Remove the lower front suspension strut bolt.
4. Push the front suspension strut inward and install the front suspension strut bolt in the bottom hole of the knuckle. This will hold the knuckle in place to allow the lower hole to be enlarged.
5. Using a file, enlarge the outer flange hole (1) to match that of the inner flange hole.
6. Remove the lower front suspension strut bolt from the knuckle.
7. Install the lower front suspension strut bolt and tighten both bolts. Refer to Strut Assembly Replacement (GNA) (Strut Assembly Replacement (GNA))Strut Assembly Replacement (GNB) (Strut Assembly Replacement (GNB))
Note: Move the top of the wheel in or out to the proper specifications.
4. Adjust the front camber to specification. Refer to Wheel Alignment Specifications (Wheel Alignment Specifications).
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).
5. Install the strut to knuckle nuts and tighten to 120 Nm (89 lb ft).
6. Verify the front camber adjustment specification and readjust if needed.
