Amplifier Replacement (Escalade EXT)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the floor console bezels.
2. Remove the console bin.
3. Remove the 4 amplifier retaining screws (1).
4. Disconnect the amplifier wire connector from the amplifier.
5. Remove the top bracket.
6. Lift the amplifier from the console bracket.




7. Remove and discard the four pushnuts (1).

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install 4 new pushnuts (1).
2. Place the amplifier on the console bracket.




3. Install the top bracket.
4. Connect the wire connector to the amplifier.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

5. Install the 4 retaining screws.

Tighten
Tighten the 4 retaining screws to 3.4 N.m (30 lb in).

6. Install the console bin.
7. Install the floor console bezels.
