Transfer Case Speed Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the electrical connector from the speed sensor.





3. Remove the speed sensor from the transfer case.

Installation Procedure





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

1. Install the right rear speed sensor into the transfer case.
^ Tighten the right rear speed sensor to 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.).





2. Install the electrical connector to the speed sensor.
3. Lower the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
