End Gate Opens Periodically While Driving (Adjust End Gate Latch)

Condition
Some customers may comment that the endgate appears to be closed but opens periodically while driving.

Cause
The latch rod to the handle may not be equally adjusted.

Correction
Adjust the endgate latches.

To verify the synchronization of the latches, open the endgate and place the latches in the locked position. Pull on the handle. Both latches should open at the same time. If one latch is slower, adjust the latch 1 or 2 threads at the latch rod retainer clip to handle. Refer to SI document ID #814623.
