Models:
2002 Chevrolet Avalanche
2002 Cadillac Escalade EXT

Condition

Some customers may comment about water on the mat in the rear corners of the cargo box.

Cause

^ Inspect the rear catch cup in order to confirm that the rear sealing rail mucket is inside the cup. See 1 in figure.

^ Verify that the drain spout is through the cargo box wall and that the perimeter seal is not leaking. See 3 in figure.

^ The gasket may be missing or damaged between the catch cup and the cargo box side wall. See 3 in figure.

Correction

1. Reposition the mucket as shown. See 1 in Figure. If the tail of the mucket doesn't hang below the top lip of the catch cup, replace the seal. See 2 in Figure.

2. Reinstall the drain through the TPO wall, if necessary. Inspect the perimeter seal for leaks and, if necessary, seal with weatherstrip adhesive. See 3 in Figure.

3. Verify that the gasket between the catch cup and the cargo box side wall is in place and not damaged. See 3 in Figure.
