POWER DOOR LOCKS INOPERATIVE - ENDGATE/LIFTGATE

The numbers below refer to the step numbers on the diagnostic table.
6. This step determines if the unlock control circuit between the splice and the liftgate door lock relay may be the cause of the malfunction. If the test lamp is already illuminated before operating the lock to Unlock, test the Unlock control circuit for a short to battery positive voltage.
7. This step determines if the lock control circuit between the splice and the liftgate door lock relay may be the cause of the malfunction. If the test lamp is already illuminated before operating the lock to Lock, test the Lock control circuit for a short to battery positive voltage.
8. This step determines if the unlock circuit between the liftgate door lock relay and the liftgate door latch assembly may be the cause of the malfunction. If the test lamp is already illuminated before operating the lock to Unlock, test the Unlock circuit for a short to battery positive voltage. If the 10-amp Rear Hatch Fuse opens when the lock is operated to Unlock, test the Unlock circuit for a short to ground.

If the test lamp is already illuminated before operating the lock to Lock, test the Lock circuit for a short to battery positive voltage. If the 10-amp Rear Hatch Fuse opens when the lock is operated to Lock, test the Lock circuit for a short to ground.
